The most disliked episode of Voyager - Part Two

Okay Trek fans, "least disliked" has concluded, and now it's time for the opposite. The basic idea is your standard elimination game. I'll provide a list of the episodes for each season and you need to eliminate your favorite or the one you deem the 'best.' Please provide an EXPLANATION for why you are eliminating your choice and be sure to copy and paste the list with your choice removed. Finally, leave at least 2 eliminations by other posters before you play again. Pretty simple. Enjoy! :bolian:

Starting off by saving "Deadlock," a wonderful high-concept sci-fi Trek episode.

Meld - an amazing character piece for Tuvok and, like Faces in Season One, it's not just my favorite of the season but one of my favorites of VOY.

I'm saving The Thaw. Love the subtle set up of using the doc to show they can send holographic characters in and then using a holo-Janeway. And the ending is chilling. "I'm afraid." "I know..." "Drat..." Love it.

Gosh, what do I save first? Tattoo, Non Sequitur or Threshold? :p :rommie:

Looking at this list, it becomes obvious how much weaker season 2 is than season 1. Though there are a few really good episodes like the great Meld.

Death Wish - the other Q episodes on VOY sucked, but this one was good, it really gave a new look at the Q continuum and the dilemma of the non-De Lancie Q was really interesting.

Saving "Prototype," which is a good episode. Unique opening shot, good action, love the Data reference, and uses robots--something terribly underused in the Trek universe as a whole.

A fairly weak season, which is sad since this was VOY's most arced season overall. I'll save Basics (I). It's good set-up for the opening of Season Three.

I'll save "Initiations", which was probably the best of the Kazon episodes. It showed a side of the Kazon that was almost respectable, in a Klingon kind of way.

"Maneuvers" has some good action, some great follow-ups to the Seska/Kazon angle and a very interesting opening.

Lifesigns - I like the story about the Vidiians and Denara Pel. It was also one of the very few one-time romances in Trek that worked for me.

I'm saving Threshol--- just kidding. I'm actually going to save Twisted, because I found the concept just the right amounts of mildly terrifying and intriguing, not to mention I liked the visuals.

I'm saving Tuvix. I think it's a story that really embraces the fact that sci-fi is about exploring what makes us human...the fact that the viewer is left slightly uncomfortable and/or questions what choice they may have made is exactly the point.

Saving Cold Fire - even though they should have saved the Caretaker's mate for much, much later in the series, it was still good to see her.

I'll save Resolutions, because I was a bit of a J/Cer in the day. :D

I'll save Persistence of Vision, which has some nice creepy moments. I always loved Janeway's gothic holo-novel.

"Investigations" is my next pick. While I could have done without so much Neelix in this episode, I enjoyed the action bits and the Paris/Seska interactions.
