The Most Disliked Episode of VOY, 2023 Edition - Season 4...

Saving "DAY OF HONOR".

It was a good first step of growth for Seven, learning about compassion.

And a great next step for Tom and B'Elanna. Roxann and Robert have great chemistry together, and the slow burn of showing how they get from colleagues to married is one of the better aspects of the series.

"REVULSION"
"THE RAVEN"
"RANDOM THOUGHTS"
"WAKING MOMENTS"
"RETROSPECT"
"VIS A VIS"
"UNFORGETTABLE"
"DEMON"

There are a lot of things wrong with "The Raven" -- the absurdity of running into the Hansen's crashed ship at that moment, what an entitled asshole Janeway is to the aliens, etc

But Jeri Ryan makes it all work anyway! It was clear at this point this character was going to be something special.

"REVULSION"
"RANDOM THOUGHTS"
"WAKING MOMENTS"
"RETROSPECT"
"VIS A VIS"
"UNFORGETTABLE"
"DEMON"

Demon isn't so bad. I remember watching it during a lazy afternoon on Sky One back in the day. They used to show TNG, VOY, and DS9 all the time. Now we have all episodes available to stream anytime we want and... it's just not the same, somehow.

"REVULSION"
"RETROSPECT"
"VIS A VIS"
"UNFORGETTABLE"

And "UNFORGETTABLE" wins season 4. Deservedly so, to be honest.

Fun fact: this year's winner and runner up are exactly the same as 2018 and 2019.

A fantastic season and another fantastic game. I shall start season 5 shortly. Hope to see everyone there.

Thank you all for playing.

"The Raven" does a decent job with some Seven back Story.

Edit: "The Raven" already saved Ooops

I'll save "Waking Moments" for some spooky images.

An otherwise solid story, but it drove me nuts how they screws up on the ship's placard hanging on the bridge - as seen at the 2:43 mark, appx:

Just "The Raven"? Are these episodes set designs now on a generic assembly line and pooped out? Trek has done better countless times with minutiae, and this is more prominent. Not even any easter eggs of production staff. Just a large buzzard with "THE RAVEN" embossed in comedically-oversized font like what I was using for word processing on a cheap DOS PC clone back in 1993. Or was it on a Commodore Amiga 500 as I hadn't bought the A3000 until 1995ish and I recall that college creative writing class... Either way, the Atari Falcon was by far the best, but I digress upon a digression, odd but true....

Not sure if the actors are the same as in "Dark Frontier", but the horror is sold incredibly and impeccably well in that scene.

(The TT was cool, but the Falcon was the best. Nothing compared to the original Atari ST for aesthetics and color scheme, that's for sure...)

For those early-90s demoscene goodies, Falcon-style...
