The Most Disliked Episode of VGR, Season 7: 2021 Edition...

No worries.

Friendship One deserves crapping on just for what it did to Joe Carey. And I've already discussed Nightingale. Two worthy additions for the final crap-show.

I suppose I should give a reason for picking Natural Law, even if it is a bit late. It shows us why the Prime Directive is the way it is. Gives Chakotay and Seven some time to get to know each other a bit, and Seven to form a connection with a pre-warp civ that she was not interested in to start with. It's pretty mediocre, but doesn't belong in the bottom. Most importantly, we didn't bring back a recurring character we hadn't seen in awhile just to kill them.

I agree. Natural law doesn't deserve to be at the bottom of the list. For one thing, it has its moments. I liked the bit about Tom Paris receiving flying lessons only to fly on his daredevil rescue mission to the dismay of his instructor.

Hey, when we're down to those last few episodes it's all much of a muchness anyway. Honestly it could have gone to any of those last four or five clunkers and I'd have understood!

It was Vale's turn to detemine the winner, as Vale was the final vote before the redo.

So, Vale... "NIGHTINGALE" or "FRIENDSHIP ONE"? Which one are you saving?

I'll save "Friendship One". Didn't like it very much but at least I liked the retro design of the probe.

The more I think about "Nightingale", the more annoyed I am about Harry Kim making a proper pig's breakfast of his first command after over six years in the job. By the time he'd been in Starfleet for six years, Harry, Riker was offered a proper captaincy. Back to the ops station for you and no messing. Count yourself lucky you're not down on deck 15 with the rest of the misfits. :nyah:

Man do I hate "Friendship One." I'm sure it has its merits, but I cannot see past the meanness of that Carey death.

"Natural Law" also pisses me off. It's just such a nothing of an episode! I can't believe they were this close to the end and no one had a more exciting inspiration than this. Very phoned in.

"Nightingale" -- well, at least Garrett's acting did grow some over the years. He's better here than he was in "Emanations." End of positive comments.

Really all three winners were satisfying winners to me. :bolian:

And the final winner for season 7 is "NIGHTINGALE"!

Any of the final 4 were worthy of the title.

Thank you all for playing, and for being patient with the final stretch's slight chaos. I will start the Final Round later tonight.

Didn't Natural Law win Most Generic last time? It's so generic even after I read a full episode synopsis I can't remember it.

Nightingale, Friendship One, and Natural Law were all voted as losers at different points... maybe all three should be included in the final round.

Generic doesn't mean bad. Usually just means mediocre, and Natural Law is that. Not good, not bad, but certainly forgettable. I didn't remember the Paris flight school B-Plot til someone above reminded me.
