It was a pile of cowflop, even if it wasn't the smelliest in the pasture.

I quite like The Cloud. Not for warming up the tired old anomaly of the week routine, but for the character focus. Emanations is pretty bad all round, though.

Emanations is without doubt one of the most boring episodes in seasons 1-3.

I always feel a certain urge to skip that one when I do a re-run of those seasons.

That one and Real Life which is also downright boring.

Let's not forget James Sloyan gives another solid performance in this episode. He's often overshadowed by the higher profile repeat Trek guest stars like Vaughn Armstrong and Jeffrey Combs, but he always did a good job.

A lot of unsung heroes like him in Trek, playing assorted guest aliens.

I actually wonder what Jeffrey Combs would have played, if he had gotten a recurring guest role on Voyager...

He's penk, an alien that sounds a lot like Weyoun, IMO, not that that is a bad thing, mind you.
