I will start with "MUDD'S PASSION", simply because we get another episode of Harry Mudd. It's really the only redeeming factor.

I'll save Mudd's Passion. It's an episode concept that would probably have crashed and burned utterly with anyone else trying to pull that scam, but Harry's presence gives it that bit of charm it sorely needed.

Although it’s not a favorite, I don’t have any serious problems with The Ambergris Element. I’d say it’s better than the other two.

I'll vote for The Ambergris Element as well, as it's actually a quite interesting concept, and the only one of the final four episodes that could never be done in live-action, even if it gets let down somewhat by mediocre dialogue and the explanation of Kirk's and Spock's condition not being handled very well.

I will reluctantly give a point to "THE AMBERGRIS ELEMENT". It was slightly less weak than the others.

I'll give the first point of this final round to The Pirates of Orion, as it's a fairly bland, but ultimately inoffensive episode. Bem tries to juggle too many different concepts, and between that and the unpleasant personality of the main guest character, ultimately collapses in on itself.

The Pirates of Orion. It launched the career of a young Howard Weinstein, who ended up writing some pretty good Trek comics in the 90s. Plus, the title character in Bem is annoying.

I will cast my vote for "THE PIRATES OF ORION". Both are weak episodes, but at least the title is better than an acronym for Bug Eyed Monster.

BEM is far more memorable. The guy comes apart for goodness sake. I can't even remember what happens in THE PIRATES OF ORION. Something about an exploding backpack.
