The Most Disliked Episode of SNW, Season 1 - 2025 Edition...

Welcome to our bi-yearly 'Most Disliked Episode' games! Now that the 'Least Disliked Episode' games hosted by BlueStuff (who inspired me to create these games, so thank you very much for paving the way) have concluded, we can begin the opposite side of that coin.

Here's the game. The basic idea is your standard elimination game. I'll provide a list of the episodes for each season and you need to eliminate your most favorite or the one you deem the 'best.' Please provide an EXPLANATION for why you are eliminating your choice and be sure to copy and paste the list with your choice removed. Finally, leave at least 2 eliminations by other posters before you eliminate another episode.

No tactical voting! You cannot remove an episode because you feel they would threaten your preferred episode's chance to win. Pretty simple. Enjoy!

This was a fantastic season! Especially for a first season... SNW was firing on all cylinders from the jump. I'm genuinely spoiled for choices on what to choose first.

There is one episode that I feel does not get the love it deserves... so I am making it my first save.

"The Elysian Kingdom" is such a fun episode. Everything about this just brought a smile to my face. And then the ending happened, and my smile became a frown.

This was such a beautiful, bittersweet ending. Dr. M'Benga's daughter will live, but he won't be able to see her again. I was crying multiple single man tears at this... both in joy and sorrow.

I love M'Benga's character (he's my favorite of SNW), and his story this season with her was so heartbreaking... you can't help but truly feel for that man. So I make this my first save... a well deserved one.

One I find underrated is "All Those Who Wander". I enjoyed the Alien homage, and found the episode to be suitably creepy.

Plus there's no way I'm letting an episode with a Tolkien quote in the title pass.

I'm saving "Strange New Worlds", which was very well done for a first episode. It sure wasn't Encounter At Farpoint.

"A Quality of Mercy" is next for me. I like it as an alternative version of "Balance of Terror" and feel it is a good end to the first season arc about Pike's existential conundrum.

And the Monster Maroons almost make a comeback.

What a strong season this was!

Children of the Comet ia first for me as I love the way has to figure out the very strange problem.

"Memento Mori" is a stock plot, but it's done brilliantly. The only dent against it is the use of the Gorn, but I suppose that comes with the territory in SNW.

Aww I missed this because of work and 2 episodes I like are the finalists. I guess Ghosts of Illyria is the better one for being a great dive into Una. Squall was fun though

And "The Serene Squall" wins season 1. It was also the winner for the 2023 season 1 game.
