The MOST Disliked Episode of ENTERPRISE - Season Three...

Farscape One

This is a twist on a game that is played here, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I am very curious to see the results.

Here's the game. The basic idea is your standard elimination game. I'll provide a list of the episodes for each season and you need to eliminate your most favorite or the one you deem the 'best.' Please provide an EXPLANATION for why you are eliminating your choice and be sure to copy and paste the list with your choice removed. Finally, wait six hours and leave at least 2 eliminations by other posters before you eliminate another episode.

No tactical voting! You cannot remove an episode because you feel they would threaten your preferred episode's chance to win. Pretty simple. Enjoy!

I will start season 3 by saving "AZATI PRIME". When it first aired, it was a VERY tense episode. That battle... the Enterprise really took a pounding. And seeing those 3 crewmen sucked out of the hull breach was a shocking moment. And that final fadeout image of the continuing pounding of the ship... that hurt. And it was a hiatus until the next episode... I think it was over a month and a half. I was mad at the time. But it was a great episode.

Damage. A rare instance of the franchise (at this point in time, anyway) acknowledging that sometimes it can be necessary to do something bad in the name of the greater good.

I'll remove TWILIGHT.

One of my favorites. An A/T shipper's dream. Shows once again T'Pol's dedication to her captain.

As a Tucker/T'Pol shipper it is my Starfleet duty to save HARBINGER!

That was an amazing episode, and I agree that it was a long wait after that for the new episodes to start up again. My Star Trek fandom had started to wane towards the end of season 1 of ENT, although I kept watching out of habit. The season 2 finale going into to season 3 started reawakening my excitement, and by the time we got to the last third of season 3 I was full-blown fanboy again.

It's for similar reasons that I'm saving The Council this time. That's another episode I remember really ratcheting up the tension, and really driving home that Enterprise had become appointment viewing for me at that time. I had really started liking Degra, and his death really hit me. I was so fired up for the final two after watching that one.

I am saving E². I really enjoyed it. Trip meeting his son, something like a hundred years older than himself. Plus I thought old T'Pol was really good. Reed never found a mate! That's a shocker! Does that mean that deep down he was attracted to men?
The resolution was Ok considering that that kind of paradox is impossible to solve, likely because the situation itself is impossible.

The Forgotten. Not quite as strong as the previous two episodes, IMO, but still a very strong entry in one of the linchpin story arcs of this season.

ARCHER: I thought we were here to try and stop a war, not start one.

The correct position was taken by our Captain :techman:

HATCHERY for the reverse imprint idea, plus the way Major Hayes said: "He thought he was the mother of those things!" or something to that effect, was priceless! Actually, I like the whole episode. Reed saying that he thought about bringing a couple of them to his father who collected bugs. The mutiny, when Hayes himself admitted that he would have sided with Archer and therefore they were right to deceive him...
Lots of fun!

I'll save Zero Hour. I thought it did a good job of wrapping up the whole Xindi storyline, and even though the ending was completely out of left field, I've got to give Berman and Braga credit for having the balls to put such a WTF ending on an episode that, as far as they knew when it was being written, could have potentially been the series finale.

...

I don't think they would have left the ending if it was finally decided that it would be the end of the series. I imagine they had an alternative ending in store for that eventuality.

I've never heard that they had an alternative ending in mind, but that doesn't preclude the idea that they could have come up with one if they felt they needed to. Thankfully, it didn't come to that.

I am just speculating but I can't believe they would have ended the series in such a messy way. Archer in a tent, in the company of a Nazi alien and the Shuttlepod being shot at by WWII planes...

I enjoyed SIMILITUDE - a good concept, and well acted.

I am saving STRATAGEM. A plot idea so good that they used it twice in the old Mission Impossible series. Once on a train and once on a submarine. In both cases, the bad guy was deceived into thinking that the vehicle was moving when it was in fact in a hangar.

I will save "IMPULSE". Essentially, zombie Vulcans. I love horror, and I think a zombie Vulcan would be terrifying to fight against. Almost as unstoppable as a Terminator, against most species. I thought the episode was well done.
