Welcome to our bi-yearly 'Most Disliked Episode' games! Now that the 'Least Disliked Episode' games hosted by BlueStuff (who inspired me to create these games, so thank you very much for paving the way) have concluded, we can begin the opposite side of that coin.

Here's the game. The basic idea is your standard elimination game. I'll provide a list of the episodes for each season and you need to eliminate your most favorite or the one you deem the 'best.' Please provide an EXPLANATION for why you are eliminating your choice and be sure to copy and paste the list with your choice removed. Finally, leave at least 2 eliminations by other posters before you eliminate another episode.

No tactical voting! You cannot remove an episode because you feel they would threaten your preferred episode's chance to win. Pretty simple. Enjoy!

Season 2... while many consider this a boring season, I think it's more accurate to say it's a mixed bag. There are some boring ones, yes, but there are some genuinely good episodes this season. Especially compared to PICARD season 2 and most of DISCO, ENT season 2 definitely looks better in hindsight.

I'll start off with one of the best of the series... "MINEFIELD".

"MINEFIELD" was a great story for Reed, who needed some development. It was also a very tense episode from beginning to end. Even Mayweather was good here... you genuinely feel the pressure he feels while trying to maneuver without hitting another mine. And it was a nice way of introducing the Romulans without stepping on the toes of any of the other shows. I've always loved this one, and it was a great first credit for John Shiban, who came from THE X-FILES after it ended to be a co-executive producer here for this season.

I'll take "The Catwalk" out, which was an episode I had barely remembered and then rediscovered on my last rewatch of ENT. An absolute thriller, perhaps among the top 5 episodes they ever made on that show.

I'm glad I get to be the one to save "DEAD STOP" next.

Creepy episode, nice direct followup to "MINEFIELD". Roxann Dawson is a wonderful director... she captures the creepiness of the sterility of that station perfectly. And does a great computer voice.

Another of my favorites of the series. And perfect for Halloween! (Which is another reason I'm happy I get to save it today!)

Saving "COGENITOR". (Even if the episode couldn't save the cogenitor...)

I think a valuable barometer on whether an episode is good or not is if it's talked about or debated for a while after it airs. More than 2 decades later, "COGENITOR" still sparks debates, and that alone is worthy of saving.

(Though it does taint Trip's character, and I normally put episodes that damage a character badly in the 'not good' pile, the debate aspect certainly keeps this one in the positive pile. He knew what he was doing was wrong, which is why he went behind everyone's back to teach the cogenitor. Archer was 100% correct to lay into Trip at the end, though he should have had bigger consequences like a formal reprimand or get busted down to Lt. Cmdr.)
