The Most Disliked Episode of ENT, 2023 Edition - Season 2...

I'm sitting here thinking, well, I did always appreciate that Enterprise was the SOLE Trek series that made eye candy of the men in the same way it did of the women, did Archer or Trip take their shirts off in any of these?

Because I can't imagine one more thing of value in any of these!

I guess, while I try to remember that, I did like the idea of the Denobulan marriage structure. The subplot in "Stigma" is the stupidest possible way you could use that concept, but at least there's a kernel of something that could have been good, underneath the pure badness we get.

"SHOCKWAVE, PART II"
"DAWN"
"STIGMA"
"CANAMAR"
"THE CROSSING"
"HORIZON"
"BOUNTY"

I'm struggling to find things that will save an episode now.

Saving "BOUNTY" because it gave us a Tellarite, which has been rarely used up to this point in the franchise. And Roxann Dawson directed it, and I've always liked her as a director.

"SHOCKWAVE, PART II"
"DAWN"
"CANAMAR"
"THE CROSSING"
"HORIZON"

This is hard now, they are all equally mind-numbing. :wtf:

Although Anthony Montgomery is a bit limited in his range, I will save Horizon because it's interesting learning about his family, and the ship he grew up on.

"SHOCKWAVE, PART II"
"DAWN"
"CANAMAR"
"THE CROSSING"

Although Anthony Montgomery is a bit limited in his range,

And the award for "Biggest Understatement Ever Posted On The TrekBBS" goes to... :bolian:

Another terrible misstep of Enterprise - among the supporting characters, the most interesting backstory is given to the actor least capable of playing anything.

Earlier I was trying to remember if any of these episodes went the male eye candy route, and I think "Dawn" did? So I'll save that next. As shallow a reason as possible, but it's all I got!

"SHOCKWAVE, PART II"
"CANAMAR"
"THE CROSSING"

And "SHOCKWAVE, PART II" wins season... II. Funny how both parts ended up winning season 1 and 2.

Fun fact: this is the first time since 2011 that "PRECIOUS CARGO" did not win season 2. Color me surprised...

I will start season 3 later this evening. Hope to see you all there!

Thank you all for playing.

Whilst the first part had a modicum of urgency to it, Shockwave Part II undoes everything and hurts the series. Mediocre madness.

~ That's because I've only recently* joined in with these games :D

* Within the last year or so, I think?

You're living proof that all it takes is just one person to save an episode from getting to the Finals. :techman:

(Mind you, I'm thumbs up for you, NOT your choice of episode.:beer:)

~ Ha! I quite understand.

I almost rewatched "PC" at the weekend as I had a 7 day free trial of P+ but I had to get through S4 of LDS (twice) and S2 of SNW (only once except for "Those Old Scientists" which I watched twice). "TOS" was the last ep I watched at the expense of "PC" as I was really tired. I wish I'd ploughed through my tiredness now as I really, REALLY want to watch it again :rommie:

This might sound insane to some, but I'm going to save "A NIGHT IN SICKBAY" next.

I've always been a dog lover, and an episode centering on Archer just staying with his four legged family member while he's sick is something many of us dog lovers have gone through. It's relatable because they are members of our family.

Also, seeing Phlox's menagerie of creatures was fun.

I get why a lot of people hate this one... it does make Archer look bad as a diplomat for much of the episode. But I can forgive this because it's Porthos. And he almost had one paw in Beagle heaven. (My wife absolutely loves that line.)

"SHOCKWAVE, PART II"
"MARAUDERS"
"THE SEVENTH"
"THE COMMUNICATOR"
"DAWN"
"STIGMA"
"FUTURE TENSE"
"CANAMAR"
"THE CROSSING"
"HORIZON"
"THE BREACH"
"BOUNTY"
I’ve always thought this one was funny. Face it, Archer WAS often an incompetent ass.
