Game The Most Disliked Episode Directed By Cliff Bole

VOY Season 3: "False Profits".

Always liked this episode. A lot of humor in this episode where those sanctimonious Ferengi repeatedly outsmart our somewhat self-righteous Janeway. Both parties are ultimately punished by the universe for their behavior by ending up on the side of the wormhole where they don't want to be.

Most importantly .... this episode doesn't take itself too seriously, and in that sense it knows its place.

Hollow Pursuits gave us Barclay, a hero for those of us who don't have Picard's diplomatic skills, or Riker's gift with the ladies, or Worf's infallible courage.

Plus it got Troi to tell herself to "Muzzle it".

^don't want to spoil the fun, but several of the episode in your list were already eliminated before, including
TNG Season 4: "The Best of Both Worlds, Part II"
TNG Season 4: "Remember Me" (by yourself, even)
DS9 Season 2: "Cardassians"
DS9 Season 3: "Facets"
VOY Season 2: "Tuvix"
VOY Season 3: "False Profits"
VOY Season 3: "Future's End, Part II"

Except for that, I'd have picked Hollow Pursuits myself on the next occasion.

"Eye of the Beholder" - I like that it's not obvious what is happening and the use of Troi's powers.

One of the best remaining is:

TNG Season 5: "Silicon Avatar"

The story takes a couple of (IMHO) cornball turns later on, but - dang - the direction is so engaging and well thought out, it carries the piece on its own, regardless. The first half or so of the episode is top notch. The plotting in the remainder is iffy, but - again - the direction elevates a lot, especially on a visceral/emotional level. I think it had to...

"The Royale" is creepy, and shows how dangerous space really is. In a season that made space feel dangerous again.

Always loved this one.

I am saving "Perfect Mate", a rare well done Trek love story with JLP falling for the metamorph (Famke Janssen!) and she for him. Alas, it could not be.

The Q and the Grey for the same reasons I saved it during the last game - I legitimately enjoy it. Q trying to mate with Janeway and she repeatedly shooting him down will never not be both fun and funny. Plus Janeway’s reaction when Q and lady Q mates is hilarious “That was it?!?”

I love the energy in the first scene in Equilibrium. Sisko is cooking for his crew, and he gets Odo to stir something. I love watching him as he moves the bowl around as well. :D

The music that haunts Dax was cool as well.

I was going to save "EQUILIBRIUM" precisely because of the cooking scene. Another reason why Sisko is my favorite captain is this... he understands the need to have some fun with his crew.

This is also why Pike is already highly ranked in my book... the BBQ.

Saving "THE COLLABORATOR", because it gave Bareil some dimension. Plus, Winn being Winn. Perfectly cast, she clearly did her job right when you loathe her just for appearing. And she was being pretty Macchiavellian in having Kira investigate him.

(I do wonder if she really did let Kuvas keep sanctuary status once she became Kai.)

One more before work. Redemption I sees the culmination of the Klingon/Romulan/Duras story, which I always liked. The cliffhanger with Sela was great as well as it was totally barmy. Yesterday's Enterprise is such a great episode that it was cool to have some ramifications, despite the day being seemingly won.

TNG Season 6: "Realm of Fear" because I like Barclay and I enjoyed watching him face his fears in this one, even if the transported life forms did look like floating turds.

I enjoyed the multiple holodeck sequences seen in "A Matter of Perspective", and thought the final answer was actually pretty cool. That one's on my "rewatch periodically" list.

"Suspicions" - I like the storytelling format, the lizard alien, the scientist Ferengi, Dr Crusher being the focus of this episode and Guinan.

I want to put on an episode now, and going through this thread pretty much every save convinces me -- "Oh, I want to watch this one now! No, this one! No, this one!" and so on for basically the whole thread. :bolian:

I'll save "Lonely Among Us." I am obsessed with the Anticans and the Selay. Will one of our many modern shows finally bring these aliens back? (Lower Decks got close, in that the "Crisis Point" teaser felt like an indirect shout-out. But I want these specific aliens back somewhere! I'm even willing to be satisfied with background cameo's)

I also wish the dark, shadowy Enterprise "night mode" we see in this ep had caught on a little more. Great vibe.
