DS9: “Doctor Bashir, I Presume” is an easy save for me. There's so much I like about this episode, but the highlight is meeting Bashir's parents - especially his mum! Fadwa El Guindi is just so warm and caring as Amsha Bashir.

I think you are right. The deleted scenes contain interesting scenes for the characters and the movie would have been better with them left in.

Albeit unintentionally, Star Trek TNG got a second finale with

ENT, Season 4: “These Are The Voyages…” (Troi, Riker)​

It's a bittersweet coda, which (traditionally speaking) would otherwise have focused more on ENT and not have TNG at all - but at the same time, it's sorta novel that they tack on TNG characters and the holodeck of all things as part of the hurrah. Perhaps not undeservedly so given what Bermantrek accomplished that TOS could not, but it should still have been predominantly ENT's limelight as it was a show for that part of the timeline, not TNG... then again, anything with TNG was more likely to bring in the viewers and provides an odd bookend of sorts. Maybe that's the real in-joke to when Riker spats "Computer, end program" at the end, mimicking ENT being cut off in its prime...

Remembrance (PIC). I'm not a massive fan of the season as a whole, but the introductory episode is great. For me, seeing Patrick Stewart inhabit that world again was sublime and that's before we get to the Borg Cube, Romulan intrigue, good martial arts scenes and poker with Data.

Also, Picard has a dog called Number One! It's worth it for that.

Great musical score too.
