The Most Annoying Scene EVER Award Goes To...

anytime neelix opens his mouth.

For me, it's anytime Trip opens his mouth.

All the time, then? Seriously, that actor (I forget the name) seems to have forgotten how to close his mouth when not speaking.

Great examples in the thread. I'll second the french flag line.
Horrible, horrible dialogue, even Sir Patrick Stewart couldn't save it.

A new one: in "VOY:Parallax": B'elana and Janeway technobabbling their way out of the problem in the conference room.
It's not the text, it's the way they played it like giggling schoolgirls that makes it an utter annoyance.

Troi tapping herself repeatedly behind the ear, what is that? The Betazed gee-spot?

:)
Its called plexing(sp?). A Betazoid relaxation technique, by stimulating a nerve cluster behind the ear. She taught it to Barclay and used it only once herself in a later episode.

I don't understand the Troi bashing personally, she was a character I never minded, though do wish they had done a little more to strengthen her.

i Did like that Troi wanted to 'expand her horizons' and took the Bridge commander test... and that she evolved in the process.

No, I don't. There IS a difference between an actor and the character he plays. Trip annoyed the hell out of me on a regular basis, but I've never met Trinneer, so I can't say one way or the other what kind of guy he is.

yeah, i was trying to sorta stay In-Character by using the brackets outside the Real Person's name... but that's a Big Problem with Autolinguistics / Idioglossia-For-One and/or Speaking to One's Self Out Loud.

Admitting i have this problem might be the first step...

Developing an Actual Sense Of Humor might be the next. But i'm pretty much resigned to never having one...one that works, anyhow.

Sleep Deprived and Babbling.

I meant no disrespect to the Actual Connor Trinneer...apologies.

Trip's accent sort of bothered me, but maybe because I knew a lot of people with an Ozarks dialect, having grown up in Missouri. And Trinneer based it on relatives from that region.

Every time Spiner does one of his "funny" voices I want to run and hide, it really makes me feel embarrassed. Also annoyed.

any number of scenes in ds9 that would have been otherwise well executed if it weren't for avery brooks's terrible over-acting
