News the moon gets its own time zone

Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) - in reality, any base will likely adopt the time zone that its Earth-based Mission Control thinks most practical for scheduling activities. The Moon's synodic period (time period between the same phase) is just over 29.5 Earth days and its sidereal period (time period relative to the celestial sphere as seen from Earth) is about 27.3 Earth days.
