The Mirror Universe?

I love the MU and I think it would have been great to see a bit more of it. Although I enjoyed "New Cloak" for M-Ezri, the action etc. I do tend to agree it should for the most part have been played more straight, with occasional goofiness (I like what they did with M-Vic a lot better than the original).

In particular, I'd have loved to see our Ezri meet M-Jadzia (she was off the show but couldn't they arrange one episode?) and have a meeting of the Daxes.

As for the Empire, my personal headcanon is that Kirk's intervention split the MU in two - one where his intervention brought about the fall of the Terran Empire and the rise of the Alliance (Alliance-verse) and one where it didn't (because Spock failed, because Spock deduced that destroying the Terran Empire would simply give rise to something like the Alliance, whatever) (Empire-verse). And I do wish we'd gotten to see that as well, although an episode of Voyager showed us something very much like it.

I absolutely adore Crossover but after that it felt like diminishing returns, which is probably inevitable for TV shows. I think it should have had one sequel and then that was it (and not used that piece of shit cave set). I've never watched much TOS so I couldn't care less whether they changed some stuff from that but I do like the idea of a Terran Empire in the 24th Century. I feel like Living Witness was channelling that with Warship Voyager.
I wonder how many mirror universes exist beyond the tv/film universe now. Probably like a dozen or so.

About that...

Spock planned that all along. He wanted the Empire to fall. He planned out, in advance, the fall of the Empire and the rise - and eventual fall - of the K/C Alliance, so humans would know what it's like to be oppressed and would be inspired to create a better government to replace the Empire.
