The Mind-Brain Connection

Heard this on the radio the other day.

These days, some Darwin skeptics are focusing on the human brain. They say a higher power must be involved; otherwise, how could a bunch of cells produce such complicated mental processes as consciousness or subjective experiences? How could something like free will be the result of evolution?

Seems to me like another variant on the "Intelligent Design" hoax. When will it all end?

When will it all end? Probably not for another hundred years or so. The amount of information in everyday circulation must exceed the current lowest common denominator.

This approach has a special irony since it evokes both complexity and subjectivity. :rommie:

I still don't understand why people act as though a person cannot be of faith and fully accept science--and by that I mean mainstream science. This is just a false conflict where none need exist, and all it does is make both sides look silly and closed-minded.
