Has anyone watched this show? They just had their series finale and I'm so sad. I really loved this show

It has nothing to do with it, but apparently a lot of people thought that.
This is the ABC show, right? I watched some of the first and second season. I thought Sue was sweet, but the older brother character was the best. That kid was funny. Also interesting that the show employed a handicapped actor as part of the regular cast.
I also liked the family dynamic. They were a current day family of 5 trying to make it on a middle class income. .

I found The Middle a couple years ago and binge watched the first several seasons. I loved Patricia Heaton in Everybody Loves Raymond, so that was my initial reason to try the show. There is so much to relate to in The Middle that I continued to follow the show. I just finished watching the finale, and yes, it leaned toward a fairy-tale ending, but that was what I wanted to see, so I enjoyed it.
I loved the ending so much. I think it was perfect for the show! They are a really relatable family. I'm really going to miss this show
It was the last great TV sitcom and I doubt anything will ever come close to replace it. Sue will join President Bartlett as best TV characters never to win an Emmy.
