OK there's versions for the UK, USA, and we down here in Aus are getting our version.

Has anyone here watched this?

The amount of saturation promotion for this show is yeah kind of over the top.

I watched the US version. It was...bizarre, but hard to look away. I did find it entertaining and will probably watch again. I felt vindicated that I knew one of the celebrities almost immediately, but others didn't believe me. However, I had never even heard of the guy who became the winner.

I tried to watch the German version. Didn't know that Marcus Schenkenberg is a singer . I quickly lost interest. It was all so artificial and the show was tedious.

Yeah the promos here feel kind of over the top and the people on the panel are overacting a heap. How was the show tedious?

What has kind of sucked me in is the costumes.

The show was too long. I had to go to bed, because I have to get up early in the morning because I have a long way to travel to work. And the jury was sometimes annoying.

I prefer The Voice of Germany.

No, Germany had different costumes than the USA.

The costumes are indeed extraordinary. After the last show they aired a documentary about the woman who makes these. So much work and they look wonderful.

I didn't watch all episodes, my brother showed us just the highlights.

OH ok I thought they used the same costumes in all versions of this. The unicorn and wolf appear in our version and the USA version.

I am thinking Danni's sister Kylie Minogue is in the spider costume.

I couldn't believe how much hype this show got last January and how much hype Fox is giving it now. I guess it might be the new Voice, which replaced Idol.

I've watched the South Korean version before it was adapted for international audiences. It's a quirky, creative twist on the reality talent show. It's fun to guess the singer on their voice alone. Nothing too serious.

Good point, either there is an internal microphone or they recorded the singing earlier. I'm going with the first option.

but when they did the big reveal and she sung then I was kind of hitting myself thinking how the hell I missed that, I could pick her voice with the mask on after the reveal but not before..

I keep thinking the spider is Kylie.

I meant, back in the Nineties when I was reading all the youth magazines about current singers, I remember distingtively that one article said "Kylie Minogue's little sister Dannii is now singing too" but you had written it the other way around, so is she now more famous than her sister? I have not really been following, sorry. I'm more into Frank Sinatra kind of music...

Same like Michael Dougles used to be the son of Kirk Douglas and then some time it turned around to Kirk being the father of Michael.

Danni I think is about as famous as Kylie, just that Kylie is more well known.

It's been the 3rd week of the show here and they are doing 2 episodes a week and I'm already a bit over the show. The first week had me hooked but now I just want it over already.

The only reveals I want to know are:

Spider
Monster
Wolf
Robot

After that the show can just fuck off.

I'm not really hearing Gellar. Kitty sounds like someone who has done a lot of singing in her career. Gellar pretty much just has the Buffy musical episode.
