The Magicians makes Harry Potter look like it's for Children.

I keep having re-occurring dreams where my arms/body flexing I do in life, summon up the energy to make me levitate... I suppose that's not magic...

I've never seen Narnia on screen. I've read the books at least a dozen times. Which witch was this, the one who gave Edmund the turkish delight?

When I was a kid I did not know what turkish delight was and I always pictured it as rum balls. The reality being infinitely better. I LOVE turkish delight.

or you can learn magic from spock

Sorry, I thought you were talking from knowledge of the book. I am hanging out in The Walking Dead forum where comic book spoilers are rampant.

I thought that Jane changed the time loop each time and this last time (before she was killed) her change was to take Julia out of the mix.
But that's not what the change was. The change was to keep her from getting into Breakbills, thereby making her a stronger mage and thus in a better position to help defeat the Beast. By no means was she taken "out of the mix." Quite the opposite, really.

I worked on Magicians (VFX). The flying books shots, the moths, blue moth, fireflies, flying model airplane pieces, cut off hands, flying geese, gold scorpion, black scorpion.... I'm glad you guys are enjoying the show.

So there's just one episode left about the d-bag magicians, right?

Though actually Quentin and Julia seemed to act like mature intelligent people this week. Shock of shocks. They behaved like rational human beings who had an ounce of decency. So of course the show made up for that by making Elliot an even bigger a-hole, getting everyone kicked out of the library and into mortal danger. Way to go.

Poor Eliot is barely functioning through his grief and guilt. He ate the carrot to do something about his pain. Stupid, but not really an a-hole.

Yeah Elliot is a very real character. He's been self medicating for years, then he found someone he loved, then he lost someone he loved.. and now he's looking at death by mothman thinking, fuck it. I'll eat the goddam carrot.

Well, save that he's pretty much been an asshole from the start of the series.

Well, that finale was trying to turn everything upside down. Wonder how they will deal with all that happened tonight next season, assuming there will be a next season.

It was even more shocking than the dean getting his eyes ripped out, etc. I wonder why Martin hated his sister so much? And that mess about Julia? Seems like they introduced several new plot points at the last minute. And freeing Victoria was anticlimactic - thanks and so long!
I may have to read the book now.
