Hello Everyone,
I am giving the BD sets of TNG a rewatch and am going through Season 4. Coming to the end of "The Loss" (the ship gets pulled towards a cosmic string thingie and Troi loses her powers), I noticed a really awkward cut at the very end. Was this intentional or just a horrible cut? Riker goes to kiss Troi and she pulls away, making a comment about him insulting her earlier in the episode. As she starts to make the comment, the shot abruptly pulls away to a long (much longer than normal) shot of the Enterprise moving through space, first a long pass as the ship passes forward and then another long pass from behind.
It almost seems like a screw up and I was wondering why the long drawn out ending. Maybe someone else has an idea about this.
Cheers !!
