The look of the new Enterprise

sunburn800

Lieutenant Commander
Red Shirt
the new Enterprise does look as if most of the different species in the federation had a hand in its design, and really thats the way the ship should look, she represents most if not all the federation members not just the humans.

Could be the case.

Or it's just a revision of a design from an
American 1960's TV show made for 2009. :bolian:

What a strange, presumptious post

Star Trek is strange and presemptious too, when it comes to the Federation. Sometimes I'm inclined to agree with Chang in ST6 about the "Humans only club" remark.

That wasn't CHANG, that remark came from the chancellars daugther.

Internally or Externally?

From what I have seen of the internal design, it looks more Earth inspired.

The external design could possibly be Earth and some other inspiration. The nacelles seem to be more organic in nature. I'm reminded of an insect for some reason. Starfleet ships have never struck me as being all that organic looking.

And you base this on...?

Have you seen the inside??? Exactly how many planets in the Alpha Quadrant have an Apple Store?

By the TOS era, who knows?

Funniest part is it doesn't look like the inside of an Apple store or anything related to Apple at all. :guffaw:

Looks alot more like the Revlon aisle in a Target store - guf-FAW!

With all those spots in there, the order of the day oughta be:
Ahead Glare Factor 7!

Looks more like a sterilised lab rather than any store I can think of.

Then i think i saw a large round bed in one shot too.

Seems the Denobulans had their say in most of the design in my view...especially the additionally long nacelles with knobs on the end....

Phlox you dog you...

I think when people say it looks like an Apple store I think they mean the bridge looks too white and shiny, like many Apple products.
I'd have to agree with them.

You know, I own no Apple products and all those months I've been listening about this Apple Store look I always wondered...

What the hell does an Apple store look like anyway ? (and don't say it looks like the Enterprise bridge :p)

Well, the bridge looks like a cool command center that some hyperactive designer then swept through and glued a bunch of extra crap onto it.

The corridors we've seen look like a Roman sewer system.

The exterior looks like a retro futuristic 50's car.
