Menagerie part I is gone. I find the clip show aspects of these episodes tedious, although I do like the Spock scenes.

    TNG, Season 4: “Remember Me”

Wow, I am so surprised by what is left on the list! (Which is a good thing :bolian:) I find "Equilibrium" clunky as hell. It's just poorly structured... it should be a full Dax episode, yet she weirdly is sidelined for the back half of it. However, I do think the in-head visions are the one great part of this otherwise failed ep -- very effectively creepy.

REMEMBER gets forgotten. Good episode, but it did seem to drag sometimes. (Sort of the best way to describe season 3 of VOYAGER, which incidentally is where this episode is from.)

    Removing "Dagger Of The Mind"
I've never ever thought it to be a top echelon TOS episode and I'm surprised it's lasted so long here.
It does have Helen Noel, but that's for another thread.

Far Beyond The Stars is out, too in love with its "actors without alien make up" gimmick shoving everyone they could get in for a cameo.

Removing Shadows & Symbols. The whole Prophet arc and especially this part of it feel out of genre, and it's one of those episodes that asks you not to try to logically track what's going on and just pay attention to the surface of what's going on.

Bliss is a fun enough episode but I like the others more. Though I do remember it for the distinct voice of the belated W. Morgan Sheppard. :techman:

Giving the hook to "Tinker Tenor Doctor Spy”. An episode that I just don't find the least bit interesting.

TOS, Season 1: “The Menagerie, Part II”
    TNG, Season 4: “Remember Me”
    DS9, Season 4: “Hard Time”

The Menagerie, Part II. The Talosians are way too powerful having influenced the Enterprise the entire time before it even arrived at Talos.

Hard Time wins this game because it's powerful, gripping, perhaps the best O'Brien focused hour as well as a great showcase for Colm Meaney.

I love that actor! They used him many times in the franchise and I am glad they did.

@Sakonna , when you start the next contest, could you post a list of the previous winners (in all the different categories) at the top? It would be interesting to see.

Circling back days after this wrapped up (busy weekend!) to say this was the most fascinating one to watch unfold yet. I was really surprised where it all went! I like "Hard Time" as a winner but even more I love "Remember Me" as a runner-up -- I often feel like the only fan of "Remember Me" there is.

Good thought! I don't have one fully compiled yet, but I was planning to put one together... I'll do that shortly and experiment with putting it at the end of the next thread. It seems to fit organically there -- as each winner is selected, it can then be added to the main list of winners...

Next list will be up later today... :bolian:
