Same every season! I'll get rid of Collective, which was average. I did come to like Icheb, but this is just standard Borg hijinks.

I will eliminate Ashes to Ashes. Not a huge fan of Survival Instinct, Dragon's Teeth or One Small Step either. But Ashes To Ashes leaves a horrible taste with that simplistic 'OK I'll go back to blueville because it's who I am now' 180 change at the end.

ok sorry for going off topic, but how were they brazen about it? there aren't that many episodes that focus on a holodeck malfunction.

Episodes where the plot is focused on the holodeck, something goes wrong in the holodeck, and/or characters are in real danger from holograms are Heroes and Demons, Projections, Alter Ego (sort of), Worst Case Scenario, The Killing Game, Bride of Chaotica!, Fair Haven, Spirit Folk, Body and Soul (sort of), and Flesh & Blood (sort of). More than TNG and DS9 combined, I'm sure.

And some of them are rehashes of previous ideas. Fair Haven was Voyager trying to copy Vic's, and real characters playing fake characters is similar in Our Man Bashir and The Killing Game. A space distortion screwing up the holodeck was first seen in The Big Goodbye, and then Projections.

Tinker, Tenor, Doctor, Spy - good episode with a great performance by Picardo, but I think his double performance in Life Line was even better, and Blink of an Eye is one of my favorites.

Sorry but it's "Tinker, Tenor.." as that's been done already "Blink of an Eye". Both the remaing two are some of the best of the season, but as the EMH is my favourite character it wins it my a nose.

'Holodeck goes awry' was a cliche that wore out its welcome before TNG finished, and that's before DS9 and VOY.

Two excellent episodes left, but I'll get rid of Life Line. Blink of an Eye wins!

And all of the confusion over people eliminating the same episode was funny.

EDIT: And even more confusion over the winner. I didn't see the post above. Life Line wins!

Better check again. But then again it shows some level agreement on which are the better episodes.

Edit: If Jimbotron's suggestion is enacted, then I hearby eliminate "Blink of an Eye". You have to make sure that after you post, you didn't cross post with anyone else. That's how this confusion starts.
