The least disliked episode of VOY - Season Four

This is getting hard, season 4 was good. Year of Hell II... it's like the reset button in turbo mode. Not only is everything as it was before, but everything didn't even happen.

Scorpion (II)
Year of Hell (I)
Message in a Bottle
Hunters
Prey
Living Witness
One
Hope and Fear

Hope and Fear was just another 'false hope of getting home' episode, and it wasn't particularly amazing.

Scorpion (II)
Year of Hell (I)
Message in a Bottle
Hunters
Prey
Living Witness
One

Message in a Bottle floats away, never to be seen again. And it's Andy Dick's fault. I liked Andy as Matthew on NewsRadio, but not in anything he's done since. A little Dick goes a long way.

Scorpion (II)
Year of Hell (I)
Hunters
Prey
Living Witness

Hunters. It wasn't really bad, but the other episodes are better.

One has some good moments for Seven, but it's not as good as the rest.

Year of Hell, Part I - granted, a great episode, but it bothered me that a whole year was dealt with in a two-parter (with a large reset-button at the end). I really liked the idea of such a strong enemy (and I would have liked the consequences shown in Before and After - not exactly the specific characters killed, but at least some lasting consequences...) , but the execution was flawed.

Prey
Living Witness

Well, "least disliked" isn't really the case when the game is a process of elimination based on different people's interpretations. There have been several cases in these threads where an episode I really liked was eliminated in early rounds.

Effectively, whatever is left at the end is the 'least disliked'. Individual taste has little bearing on the title. :)

Well yes it does, as episodes are eliminated based upon taste. So person A may like action in an episode whilst person B prefers episodes that have more character moments.

No, it doesn't. What I meant is that an individual liking an episode, yet seeing it removed early by another poster does not mean that the surviving episode is not the "least disliked", because that title does not reflect that individual's opinion, nor is it supposed to. The surviving episode is the one that people have collectively refrained from eliminating because they dislike other episodes more. The game is not probing individual taste, otherwise it would just be a poll "what is your favourite episode?" That's why the game is more interesting for me than just another poll, because it's unpredictable and fun. :)

"Disliked" measures a different attribute, and should arrive at a different conclusion than "liked." The former is a measure of discomfort or opposition to the episode.

I don't care what you call this thing, it's been really interesting to see which episode comes out on top

Well "Living Witness" is one of my favourite episodes of this season despite the plot hole.

But as others have said it certainly throws up some odd winners and runners-up such as TNG's "Journeys End" for round 7.

Living Witness was great! It must have been fun for the actors to get to play something so different from their normal thing.
