The least disliked episode of VOY - Season Four

BlueStuff

Rear Admiral
Rear Admiral
This is a game that was played here a couple of years ago, and it proved to be a lot of fun, spanning across each Trek series, as well as a great way to mentally revisit those episodes you may not have thought about in a while. With that in mind, why not play again?

So, here's the game. The basic idea is your standard elimination game. I'll provide a list of the episodes for each season and you need to eliminate your least favorite or the one you deem the 'worst.' Please provide an EXPLANATION for why you are eliminating your choice and be sure to copy and paste the list with your choice removed. Finally, leave at least 2 eliminations by other posters before you eliminate another episode.

No tactical voting! You cannot remove an episode because you feel they would threaten your preferred episode's chance to win.
Pretty simple. Enjoy! :bolian:

SOme decent episodes this season, making it slightly harder to eliminate but I'm going to go with "The Killing Game, Part II". I don't think it was as strong as Part I. I sall say this only once, Ihad flashes of the TV show "Allo, Allo" for the French cafe/resistance scenes. Didn't they also expnad the holodeck for this two-parter yet it never seemed to be brought up again?

I will eliminate Concerning Flight.

The whole setup that gave Davinci the mobile emitter was a little too ridiculous, and the whole Davinci hologram idea seemed like somebody's personal Mary Sue fantasy.

Demon - the opening premise is that they are running low on deuterium, and have to land on an extremely hostile planet. Deuterium is a hydrogen atom with a neutron added. It's extremely abundant in the universe. Remember when Star Trek tried to be scientific?

The quality of episode has gone up this season. I think Revulsion is pretty boring though, so off it goes.

The Raven... how utterly convenient they just happen to stumble across one ship that got lost half way across the galaxy to develop a character they just happened to pick up.

Now it's getting hard... I guess "Random Thoughts" is my least favorite of what's left of a good season...

I will eliminate Day of Honor

There are plenty of good candidates for elimination left and no great candidates for elimination. I could have gone four or five different directions. Day Of Honor was basically a 'trapped in a small space' trope, and I hate when Trek resorts to obvious tropes.

Scorpion (II)
The Gift
Nemesis

Year of Hell (I)
Year of Hell (II)
Waking Moments

Retrospect
The Killing Game (I)
The Omega Directive

Retrospect - was Seven violated? Yes? No? Meh? The 'sexy Borg' is on the show for 15 episodes and they're already doing a rape allegory. And then they make it seem it was all a mistake, and now she has a dead man's blood on her hands. Happy times all around.

^ Retrospect was eliminated quite a while ago...

I'll eliminate Nemesis - yet another useless Chakotay episode...

Jimbotron, Retrospect had already been removed but got back in.

Take another shot while you can.

Waking Moments.... meh, I really dislike episodes about Chakotay's made up "Indian" tribe and their abilities.

The Gift
Scientific Method
Year of Hell (I)
Year of Hell (II)
Message in a Bottle
Hunters

The Killing Game (I)

It pains me to do this to my Space Nazi brethren, but out goes Killing Game Part I. Great costumes, but they just look ridiculous on rubber face monsters.

The Gift
Scientific Method
Year of Hell (I)
Year of Hell (II)
Message in a Bottle
Hunters

The Omega Directive

The Gift - for booting Jennifer Lien just because Garrett Wang made some list. If they were thrown from Borg space, then why do they keep meeting the Borg throughout the rest of the show?

Scorpion (II)
Scientific Method
Year of Hell (I)
Year of Hell (II)
Message in a Bottle

The Omega Directive

Goodbye The Omega Directive. The very idea of the super mega powerful Omega molecule and how only Starfleet Captains and higher ranks know about it, while having to constantly keep it as secret from the rest of the crew is stupid as hell.

Scorpion (II)
Scientific Method
Year of Hell (I)
Year of Hell (II)

"Scientifc Method" reminded me a bit of a TNG episode.
