This round I've got to go with Through the Lens of Time. Still an interesting episode, and one of the best of season 3, but a step down from the best of the previous seasons. I re-watched the entire series recently to get my wife caught up on it, and it's amazing how well some of those early episodes hold up, even after five or six times.

I'll go with A Quality of Mercy too. We do get some great moments, plus the introduction of Kirk! It's also an alt version of one of my favorite TOS episodes. The destiny aspect doesn't really make a lot of sense when thought about too closely though, as was mentioned here previously.

Voting for "Subspace Rhapsody".

Going into more detail on why I keep voting for "Subspace Rhapsody" (and partly why I just do not like musicals in general)...

I found the entire idea ridiculous. The song scenes just dragged on and on. A four minute song could have gotten the point across with less than a minute of dialogue. And it would have been more interesting.

Especially ludicrous was everyone doing synchronized dance routines during this. It made no sense. It already stretches credibility beyond belief that this anomaly is making everybody sing... but add in dance routines? And suddenly everyone knows what moves to do, on the fly, even if others are not even the same species? Just pushes this completely into farce and making even less sense than the episode's premise.

If I wanted to watch interpretive dance, I'd put on DANCING WITH THE STARS, not DANCING ON STARSHIPS. (And it seemed as though even the SHIPS THEMSELVES were doing a dance! Another thing that was just plain stupid.)

This is the only episode in the entire franchise I do not ever intend to see again.

Under the Cloak of War because I don’t like murder. Memento Mori is my favorite on this list, closely followed by Subspace Rhapsody.

I am so relieved people finally took mercy on me and joined me in ousting "A Quality Of Mercy." I just can. not. stand. that episode.

Next up I'll vote "Under The Cloak Of War." Honestly, now everything remaining is pretty great. But this is the least rewatchable of these.

This is getting tough now! I like all of these episodes, and I have to resort to nitpicking to vote against one. I think I'll vote for Under the Cloak of War as well, knocking it out of contention. I was annoyed with M'Benga's magic serum when it showed up the first time, and they bring it back again here.
