I vote for and eliminate Starship Down, I had to look up which episode it was exactly, I initially thought the one with the crashed Jem Hadar ship, so not very memorable.

For the new round my vote is for The Search Part 1, the Defiant got its ass kicked pretty fast, the crew only survived because the founders let them, not a very good intro for the new ship. And maybe I'm just forgetting it but did they mention the "... except when Sisko wants to scare the senior staff on DS9" part of the "Cloaking device can only be used in the gamma quadrant rule"?

I've been watching this list -- so far "Duet", "In The Hands Of The Prophets", "The Homecoming", "The Wire", and "The Search, Part I" -- and I take back my earlier comment that I could see myself coming for "Duet" soon. It was even better than I remembered! Blew me away! I put it on intending it to be just background while I cleaned, and I was instead totally riveted to the TV. Sobbed at the end. Loved it.

I will forgive them for doing a shitty job of introing Neela.

"By Inferno's Light" Like some other DS9 2-parters ("The Search"), it builds to a Big Final Confrontation, before suddenly swapping in an anticlimax in order to set up future story possibilities for the series. I wish they'd found a way to pay this particular two-parter off more satisfactorily.
