My vote for the new round goes to "THE FORGE". I'm mad that they killed off Admiral Forrest here.

The Andorian Incident. It's a generally solid episode for the most part, but veers sharply downhill in the last five minutes with the ridiculously simplistic moralizing over the Vulcan's spy array, and also marks the start of B&B's bizarre obsession with making the Vulcans look bad while glorifying the Andorians.

I hate to say this, but the Vulcans had it coming. Putting an observation post inside a monastery?

I'm not religious in the slightest, but doesn't that strike anyone as several levels of wrong?

Putting the array in the monastery was tempting fate to ridiculous levels, no argument there. But I don’t get the impression Archer would have reacted any differently had the array been located elsewhere.

"The Andorian Incident" is the weakest for me here. I always felt this episode was skating a little, they're really banking on us being SUPER excited to finally go back to the Andorians.

And I was! But future episodes went beyond that and actually did interesting things with them. This one is a bit too simplistic.

"The Andorian Incident", I always thought it odd that Archer would prefer people who practice torture at the drop of hat (the Andorians) to people who don't (the Vulcans). Why did it feel good to beat up a monk? What's wrong with this guy?

The Andorian Incident is gone. The weakest one left, easily. When I was rewatching the series recently, I was actually surprised at how long it took to get going, as I remember it being a stronger episode. Perhaps it's strong for season one.

I'll go for Minefield now. A lovely Malcolm episode, but there are just better ones here.

Minefield gets my vote too. The story is a bit too contrived for my taste. Plus the doors/shields that magically turn toward the explosion always make me laugh.

Casting a vote against "Minefield". It has some good moments with Archer and Reed, and it leads into "Dead Stop" (which was amazing). But I've never felt any real need to watch it again.

First Flight is out. Both it and Minefield are pretty good for Season 2, but still on the weaker side compared to the Season 3 and 4 episodes here, and between the two, First Flight is slightly less memorable.

And for reasons I've already described, I'll give the first point of the next round to Minefield.
