The latest on Marvel films

And it's also why Cap is so popular because he exhibits the core of the american soul (wow.. cheesy line.. i should apply at Marvel ).

He was part of Americas golden generation and was thrust into our generation where those values were all but forgotten or much harder to live. He doesn't compromise on his values for some personal gain.. something we all struggle with and that's what makes him so heroic (powerwise many other superheroes or villans should be able to rip him in two).

I call it "the Sheild Effect". A lot of Cap fights feature him losing his sheild at some point or another. Then the villain starts to beat him like a rented mule. Just when he's about to lose the fight, somehow Cap gets the shield back.

Cue the theme music as he does a Hulk Hogan and drops the injury and fatigue like it never happened and proceeds to kick the ever-loving CRAP out of Mr Villain ("the US never gives up" Rousing Speech optional)...

Dr. Strange was/is a man in his late 30s i believe.. an accomplished surgeon. I can't see some mid20s currently hot actor portray him (as much as i like Cpt. Awesome in Chuck).

McPartlin could easily play 10-15 years older than his actual age. But the guy who is perfect for Dr. Strange is already planing Iron Man, dagnabit!

Only Robert Downey Jr is awesome enough to be perfect casting for TWO Marvel Superheroes!

it would be fun to see him play both, wouldn't it? Tony Stark being relatively down-to-earth what with the problems with the suit and the alcoholism, and Stephen Strange being waaaaay the frak out there (I'm hoping for a full-blown Ditko universe depicted in all its Lovecraftian glory, with battles royale against Umar and Dormammu).

I'd also like to see The Inhumans and The Sub-Mariner someday. If Wentworth Miller hits the gym, he could be Namor.

Hey, maybe Zachary Quinto can play Namor. He's already got the ears!

Nah I can't see Boreanez playing Namor, Quinto would be a good Namor. Namor has always been a sorta emotional Spock LOL. They even have the same barber.

Would be nice, but don't hold your breath. Too Over the Top for the "realistic" Marvel universe of the movies...

A Dr. Strange movie is in development (Guillermo Del Toro expressed some interest, though he's got a full plate at the moment); it's not like it expressly has to be in the same universe as the Avengers films.

True but its still nice if he was... after all they could introduce some really wacky bad guys and Doc Strange would come in handy. I do wish they would be able to merge all their movie properties into one so they could do some silent cross overs. Even if its like a line of dialogue Peter says "Boy I wish I was like Wolverine, could just cut my way through this stuff" or Iron Man leaping onto a villan's back joking "Iron Man... Iron Man can do anything an Iron Man can!"

Currently, Shaun of the Dead director Edgar Wright is attached to direct the film, which he says will be an action-oriented movie with some humorous elements. Last year Wright reconfirmed his role and briefly discussed the state of the script.Reportedly, the currently script focuses both on original Ant-Man Hank Pym and his successor Scot Lang. A shifting timeline will follow both heroes in their primes and reflect the comic book stylings of the Silver Age and Modern Age of comics.Production on Ant-Man is currently stalled....
