The Last Starfighter sequel

I'd almost prefer a prequel to a sequel. Why did Xur become a bad apple? What led him to ally with the Kodan? How did the Frontier even come into existence?

Plus, then you could have someone play a young Centauri without any issues.

I've seen it more recently. We don't see him leave the ship, but we see him slip through a door and we hear "Escape pod ignition" from the ship's computer.

Also, the head Rylosian says outright that Xûr escaped and "there is still danger".

Though that begs the question of how the head Rylosian even knows that...

Xur is his son. Maybe he called his father and taunted him. Something like "I'm not dead, nyaah nyaah nyaah."

A tarped Starfighter makes more sense than the Ecto-1.

I remember the "There is still danger" line, but out of context. I have assumed he meant by other enemies of the Rylosians, making the need to bebuild the League necessary. I'm going to have to rewatch this film.

That might make it more fun, but a tarped car makes more sense to me than a tarped starfighter...
