The last line of the series should've been spoken by Morn!

IMO, it would've been awesome if Morn had spoken the last line of the series ("The more things change, the more they stay the same."). It would be a great conclusion to the character. What do you think?

I disagree. I'm glad he didn't say that last line of the series and thought the actor who played Quark delivered the line pretty much perfectly.

The only time I wanted to hear Morn was in "Who Mourns for Morn". When I first saw it I was sure we'd get to hear him talk. In the end they stuck with the gag to the end and I appreciate that.

No, they should have all gathered around a table at the end of the finale and then said "Morn has something to say!" Morn opens his mouth...fade out. End credits.

The running joke was that Morn was very talkative and social so it wouldn't be a surprise if he talked. However in the episode "Who Mourns for Morn" the guy that asks to sit on Morns seat is the same guy that played Morn all those years.

There was a campaign to give Morn the last word prior to the DS9 finale; & it was just as successful as all the other fan campaigns. I'm glad it worked out the way it did; with Quark hectoring Morn, as usual. It might have been amusing if Mark Allen Shepherd (who played Morn) had been given a line as the Bajoran in Who mourns for Morn?, though

That's right I thought he said something but I haven't seen the episode in a while.

I'm glad he didn't speak. It would have ruined the character they had spent several seasons building up. His character was defined by his on-screen silence, it is what made him unique and memorable. Who Mourns for Morn was a brilliant episode for him, and I think it would have cheapened the effect to have him say something in the very end.

It's cool think think of Morn to be the only non-speaking character to get an action figure. He would have lost that distinction.

Throughout the series I was hoping that Morn would have gotten a line. But I agree with most of you. It would have beem a bad idea if Morn got a line in the final episode.

I liked what we got. It was a fitting end and Quark got the distinction of speaking last in both Emissary and What You Leave Behind.

If Morn had got the last line it should have been something completely normal like "Thanks for the drinks."

Armin Shimmerman once joked at convention that the last shot of DS9 would be Morn on his barstool, taking a drink, looking into the camera, and then speaking for the first time saying "Th-th-that's all folks!" a la Porky Pig.

I always liked the fact that Morn was known for talking people's ears off, but we never heard him utter a word. I'm glad they went through with it to the end :)
