The Koude Kikker Lounge

My wife was reading over my shoulder and telling me I'm crazy. Apparently we actually went to Zandvoort already the last time we went to the sea and that was where we found the sushi restaurant. I'd completely forgotten because of everything else that's been going on this last year, but yeah the Zandvoort beach is really nice, too, and very similar to Vlissingen, really. Also no crowds (though it was off season). And the nice part was that the train station is basically across the street from the beach/boulevard, as opposed to Vlissingen where you have to walk 20 minutes to get there.

That’s about the only thing I remembered about Zandvoort, the railway station.

I have 4 books in Dutch which might give you an insight in my character and interests: Het Margriet kookboek, Feldgids schelpen, De larven der Nederlandse Chironomidae and last but not least: Waterpissebedden :D
:ack: The only interest we have in common is schelpen. :D

I don’t think I have any books in German and I have only one book by a German writer (Der Vorleser). I remember reading Die Verwandlung in German for school. That was quite disturbing...

I looked through my books and realised I do own two books in German after all: one about the work of Pierre Cardin, which I recently bought in Kunst Palast Dusseldorf, and an educational children’s book titled Wie Vater und Mutter ein Kind bekommen. :alienblush:

Not sure what that tells you about my character. :D

I actually only have one German book (not counting language textbooks and dictionaries). It's a novel called Hex which I haven't read yet and honestly don't even remember what it was supposed to be about anymore. Probably either witchcraft or cyberpunk...

^witchcraft. A 300 year old witch lives in a tiny town and the townees try to protect and hide her by forbidding internet and any visitors from outside. One day the teenies rebel and post a vid of the witch upon which all hell breaks loose.

Die Verwandlung is indeed very disturbing. I always loathed that one. Officially, Kafka was sane but to be honest I have my doubts..

That is the only good news this week.

My childeren and wife are sick, hopefully just the flu. And I twisted my knee at work, and can barely walk. The hospital have no time so here I wobble after the kids and try to keep the house clean.

I hope your knee will heal up soon, knee problems SUCK..

Thanks, yeah It especially hurts when I have to pick up my son from the ground or have to walk with my dog. I hope the hospital calls back totday for an appointment.

It was such a stupide accident, I just slipped of a step en twisted my knee.

LOL in that case you can count Santaman out :D
I'd rather allow all styles, including metal, trash, classical music. The entries won't make much of a difference. Only the voting will.
My all time favourite: Love potion #9 in the version from The Clovers:

Good idea! As long as we don’t allow metal “music”, I’m in. :shifty:
Screw that! inferior commercial poop be damned! :p

Lets start with a fine piece of symphonic black metal, Dimmu Borgir on stage with a 50 people choir and a full orchestra, this was btw broadcasted on national television.
