That would at least help with the "we've cured death" thing.

"We've cured death, but there's a catch, you turn into a supervillain!"

Could work.

Maybe not so much supervillian but but more aggressive, ambitious, arrogant. Augment-lite.

There was a story called Doomlord in a UK comic called Eagle and if you injected somebody with his blood they were taken over and turned into Doomlord.

You don't have to go that far afield. Borg "blood" does the same thing.

I don't think Kirk should go dark just yet. Not now we finally see him earn his place as Captain of The Enterprise after two movies. He should be like TOS Kirk incarnate.

But I *DO* want to see a brand new story. Go where no one has gone before and no single villain. Make it an entity they have to outwit.

I really want a movie like " Where Silence Has Lease ". Dark and twisted.
