The IT Crowd: Ep303 "Tramps Like Us"

Didn't see a thread for this so thought I'd post it.

I have to say, that felt like the first IT Crowd clunker of the whole series. First it seemed that it should've played as ep301, not ep303, but then ep301 was a much better episode.

This episode seemed to be a lot of interconnected jokes thrown into a half hour time slot, and it really does seem apparent (to me anyway) that Katherine Parkinson seems to be getting really bad stories this year.

The shock pants is a funny idea, but I couldn't believe the punchline of that story was - instead of a really clever come back - Douglas tells the guests to simply fuck off. Has Graham Linehan started to lose his edge?

The episode just seemed to be building to something really funny, but suddenly it ended.

Disappointing. 4/10.

Yeah, it wasn't great - and did seemed to have fallen into a weird spot on the schedule - but we were drunk as all out when we watched it and had a good laugh. I personally think the 'fuck off' bit was brilliant, just cause you were expecting something much more clever.

"It's like being tased in the balls - except painful."

WHy wasn't this the first episode of the new series? Oh well, in my collection I have just re-labelled it as 3.01, which works since it was also funnier than the actual series opener, too.

The boss was funny here because the laugh was on him, rather than his weirdness being the "funny" part. To me he is just not funny and that guy's voice(although not as bad here as in GMDP)just makes me want to ram the DIVX remote into my eye socket.

With this good ep and last week's awesome episode, this series is shaping up to be pretty damned good so far!

No it wasn't, the opener was waaaay better. iPod party, Renholm cameo, mother-flippin' guns? I don't see how it could be topped?!

I just started watching this show due to a friend who is an IT man himself. It's great! I saw the eps with the office fire/red shoes/war on stress & shit on the forehead

It's a great show, and still good but I feel it is being taken over by the weird boss who has only made me chuckle once or twice. They need to dial him back...that guy is like a lead character and it is detracting from the 3 already great leads.

Wow, do I feel alone. Well, with my co-workers. Every Wednesday at lunch, when there's a new episode, we gather around my computer and watch, about 11 of us.

And most of us were crying with laughter during this one, I know I was. I thought this was the 2nd funniest episode of the series ever, couldn't stop laughing through the whole second half.

And the boss is hysterical, he's becoming one of our favourites for sure!!

Guess we're all a bit different there... :)

Don't get me wrong, I've seen the guy who plays the boss in some other things, and in those things he's funny. In this he is just not needed, and I feel that he is being pushed on us.

The sketch online where he walks up to girls and asks them if he can help them carry groceries and stuff until he finds out they have boyfriends is fantastic, try to look for it if you can.

^ I think that would be from Snuff Box, a surreal sketch show that Matt Berry co-wrote with Rich Fulcher.
