The Inhumans Marvel/IMAX

I was always under the impression it was a hairband.

It's a weird kind of hairband, though, one that doesn't cinch or constrict the hair but lets it hang entirely straight. How does it even stay on?

Also, as originally drawn in the comics, it couldn't have been a hairband, at least not one that formed a complete loop, because it was level with her eyes and nose. Googling it, I find some art that renders it quite clearly as a separate band, while other artists (for instance here and here) did interpret it as a stripe of black within the hair itself. So I guess that ambiguity has always been there.

Is Kirby still alive to explain his intentions here?
He doesn't have to say it. You don't go from "grounded" to the superhero stuff the MCU does (at this point marvel netflix isn't really the MCU, so I'm just going to call it Marvel netflix). But, at this point, the fact that IF is looking terrible even for a Marvel netflix show is also a huge red flag for Inhumans, even if I didn't consider it already dead. Even if Inhumans only has terrible writing, bland characters and terrible fight scenes like a lot of reviews say IF has, that's bad enough without the grounded stuff.
This is why I said before that you clearly don't understand writers, people can write more than one type of story, so just because some chose to tell one story in a specific style doesn't mean that something else he does is going to be in the same style. I tried my hand at writing my own original stuff for a while, and I never actually wrote them down but I also had ideas for some Batman family and Spider-Man fan fics and I can tell you that all three were drastically different styles. At least as different as Iron Fist and Inhumans seem to be.

 Well, I completely disagree. But, again, its not worth arguing about. The guy has apparently just made the first Marvel netflix flop, which is a big enough mark against him. The fact that he's one of the "grounded" superhero makers (aka people who miss the entire damn point) is just part of how bad a choice he was for Inhumans. I'm in the acceptance stage with the show, though. its complete crap, they ruined their one chance to make Inhumans by hiring a guy who doesn't deserve to be the guy who brings the actors coffee to make it. Just another bad decision from Marvel's TV division. Its one of the biggest MCU disappointments for me, but the shock has worn off and I'm just resigned to hate watch the first episode of quite possibly the worst thing that Marvel has produced whenever it comes out.

Plenty of people have made bad stuff and then gone on to make great stuff. I'll admit, I'm a little more cautious about this now after seeing the reaction to Iron Fist, but I'm still giving this a chance.

It is, that's why when she got her hair cut there still isn't a black band in there.
It kind of is. At least, there's something still there even with the haircut:

I agree, people can make bad stuff and good stuff, no one is perfect. Joss Whedon wrote Alien Resurrection, for example. Some people can be even more mixed with the good being less common then the bad, like how the writer who wrote X-Men: Days of Future Past also wrote X-Men 3 and Fant4stic. But, like I've said, he wrote a bad Marvel netflix show, so he's taking the terrible "grounded" attitude of the Marvel netflix shows and trying to stick it on Inhumans.

The people who did Daredevil Season 1 or Luke Cage would be bad choices for Inhumans, but at least they put out one good superhero-ish product. This guy is isn't even good by Marvel Netflix standards, so has the whole "grounded, anti-costume/comic book" attitude without even being able to make a good show in that style.

So, its not just that he did one thing badly, in fact that's arguably less important then the other factors. He's kind of "Josh Trank-ing" Inhumans, now that I think about it. It looks like the characters introduced in the Fantastic Four comic book will now suffer a fate as bad as the last FF movie.

I want a direct quote where he said that. I want to know where he said he is taking a grounded approach with Inhumans. And don't give any of that it's obvious bullshit, I want to see him actually saying that in an interview or Facebook post or tweet or something, and not something where some writer thought something could be interpreted that way.
You keep insisting he's going to do this, but so far you've not actually provided me with proof. If you have actual proof about this beyond just your feelings, I will admit I'm wrong and I will even apologize.

With the exception of Black Bolt's mask, everything has seemed very authentic so far (I think Medusa's look is drawing from Soule's Inhuman, although Jenkins's Inhumans might have had the same dress).

 His actions and things he's said are all I need. As I keep repeated, no one goes from crap "grounded" heroes to normal ones. The attitude required to make "grounded" stuff is incompatable with making something in the (in my opinion, far superior) style of the real MCU (the films) or stuff like the DC CW tV shows. But, really, the fact that he's probably the first person to make a Marvel netflix flop is enough to doom his Inhumans, regardless of what the evidence tells me about his shitty ideas about how superhero shows should be done. I really couldn't care less if you agree with me or not, everyone is entitled to their opinion.

As for the twitter pics, all we know is Medusa is wearing purple. So, that puts the doofus running Inhumans one step above people like Snyder, who hates colors along with being obsessed with "grounded" characters, but you can have people dressed in purple or yellow and still be "grounded".

Given that Black Bolt's mask is essentially a gimp mask with a tuning fork stuck to the forehead, I think it's exclusion is for the best.
