Can add dedra to the list of incompetent officer.

Failure to report a serious data breach.

Access of classified data she was not cleared for.

Poor data security that led to access by a spy.

Failure to secure a high value Prisoner at risk of self harm.

She got off lightly.
The empire shouldn't of just thown the book at her but all the books in every library on corascant plus plus the buildings themselves.

Some people may know this, some people may not know this, but in the Legends continuity, the Executor had 3 lengths given for it over the years, 8km, 12.8km and 19km.

Canon has gone with the 19km figure.

I found out recently (or rediscovered it after forgetting), that Pablo Hidalgo wrote an article for the starwars.com in 2013 about it.

There was a single ISD model built for the movie at the same scale as the Executor. He went and measured it, and says it shows the Executor would actually be 13,469 meters long.

You'd think it'd be straightforward (with access to the models) to find the size by measuring the command tower, which one would assume was proportionally, if not in precise greebling, identical to the normal Star Destroyers. At the very least, I'd like confirmation that the tiny to-scale destroyer's tower was the same size as the main SSD's tower.

(Insert articles about how all the Star Destroyer towers are actually totally different, including one I wrote, here.)

Always an upvote for SWFT Edits - usually a cut above the rest (and the rest can be very good, too) :techman:

The Galactic Empire, much like other similar totalitarian dictatorships in RL (like Nazi Germany or Soviet Russia) runs on the paradox of encouraging paranoia and competition between its myriad officials to prevent them turning on the super centralised authority figure - within such an unhealthy bureaucracy Dedra was not incompetent as such, but unaccountable and too competent for her own good.

Poor data security that led to access by a spy.

The ISB's data security was excellent until it was not; remember it took years and the sacrifice of a high ranking ISB inside man for it to finally leak, on the eve of the Death Star's debut (RIP to ISB supervisor Lonni Jung).
