The Huntsman: Winter's War Pre-release Thread

The Huntsman: Winter's War is the followup to Snow White and the Huntsman, although this time minus Kristen Stewart's Snow White. This appears to be a combination sequel and prequel, some parts of the description refer to events before SW&TH, while others refer to parts after it. I really enjoyed the first one, despite Kristen Stewart's presence, so I'm really looking forward to this one.

My favorite thing about the first one was just the look and feel of it's world, and they seem to have done a great job of continuing that.

Despite some nice visuals, the first one was fairly forgettable and I didn't think it needed a sequel (let alone a prequel), but this doesn't look so bad!

Once more, the effects and designs look pretty neat, and I like that this movie seems to mostly revolve around cool ladies kicking ass. Charlize Theron was already great in the first one, and Jessica Chastain and Emily Blunt chewing scenery seems like a big step up from sleepwalking Kristen Stewart.

I doubt that it'll be great, but I think it could be pretty fun.

Yeah, this looks like it could be fun (which is really all that I'm asking for honestly). They kept the best elements of the first film (Hemsworth, Theron, the visuals), and added in Emily Blunt and Jessica Chastain, awesome. Theron and Blunt in particular look like they're having a lot of fun, and their scenes at least should be really entertaining.

I was kind of surprised they got rid of Rupert Sanders, the first movie's director. I could understand not wanting to put him back with Kristen Stewart after what happened, but once she wasn't coming back, I was expecting him to.
