The horror! The horror!

Oh dear God.

*****SIGH******

This is so bad, I'm surprised the Wayans Brothers aren't in it.

Couldn't even make it through the trailer..

I was never much of a Sandler Fan with very few exceptions (50 First Dates, The Longest Yard and maybe Zohan) but this is a personal low even for him.

Seems like there's a weird trend where if Jack Nicholson does something his friends think it's okay too.

Nicholson does "Batman"

Pacino does "Dick Tracey"

Nicholson co stars in "Anger Management" with Sandler

Nicholson tells his friend's "It's okay"

Pacino signs up with Sandler.

I wonder what response you'd get if you showed this trailer to Al Pacino circa the 1970s, when he was busy making movies with Coppola and Lumet.

Once he got over the initial shock and disgust, he probably would have thought for moment, shrugged, and said: "Well, at least I'll still be alive and working forty years from now."

There's an article in a local arts paper that makes the claim that 2011 is going down as the worst year for movies in history. I'm starting to believe it.

And remember - according to quantum physics, in some parallel dimension Jack & Jill will win Best Picture at next year's Oscars.

It's a good summer for blockbusters, just not light-hearted comedies. Thor, X-Men (which won't do well, unfortunately), Captain America, Harry Potter, maybe Cowboys and Aliens. There are more movies I want to see then usual, to be honest.

Yikes, that was terrible. Doesn't help that I dislike Adam Sandler. Best part about that trailer is the Beatles cover

I'm not even going to look at it. The other night I happened to catch a few minutes of "Serpico" on cable and, quite frankly, I was taken aback how damn good an actor he used to be, having let everything since "Dick Tracy" make me think he was a screaming ham for his entire career.

I appreciated the twin fighting jokes based on my personal experiences. Aside from that, there are lots of obnoxious Adam Sandler movies, so I can't say this one caught me by surprise as not being great.
