The Homeworld...

Which do you consider the best Trek that took place, not in space but here on the homeworld. I consider a couple of two parters. Homefront and Paradice Lost and Past Tense Pts 1 and 2 as good examples, what about you???

"The Homeworld?" Last I checked, the planet I lived on was called Earth...

"Homefront"/"Paradise Lost" are my favorite Earth-bound tales in the Trekverse.

Ah yes, Terra...the Human Homeworld

I think "Past Tense" was a story that couldn't have been told about another planet with quite the same impact, so I'll go with that two-parter.

Homefront and Paradise Lost, were two of the best Earth-based shows.

I wouldn't call these my favorite, but I also have a soft spot for the Voyager Earth shows with Barkley. Maybe just because by then it had been so long since we had seen the Human homeworld.

And I would be sacriTreklish if I didn't mention City on the Edge of Forever.

"Homefront"/"Paradise Lost" & "City on the Edge of Forever" are the best, dramatically. "Family" is pretty high up the list, too.

"The Voyage Home", "Tomorrow is Yesterday", and "Little Green Men" are the most fun.

Hmm... this is a tough decision, but I think I'm going to cast my vote for Home and Terra Prime / Demons. It was rare we got a look at what the 'ordinary folk' on Earth actually thought about the whole Starfleet thing, and I thought these episodes laid down some good foundations for what could've been an interesting arc over a longer period.

(Although... the music for Trip's escape... does anyone else get distracted by how upbeat and "cop show" it feels? :p)

I'll throw in another vote for Homefront/Paradise Lost - Though IV and Little Green Men are another two of my favourite Earth based stories.

I quite liked Futures End at the time I first watched it, though it could have been down to the novelty of the setting. Same goes for that episode (the name of which I can't remember) where Harry wakes up on Earth. I doubt it's a favourite, but the non-space setting was refreshing to watch.
