I could have sworn I saw the robot in that episode somewhere else. Does anyone know anything about it/have the Companion?

Just to breach the copyright: The companion doesn't say something specifically about the robot. But it does say something about all the different kinds of weapons. Some of them were built by the DS9 art department and some of them were rented. Some were from "The Warlords: Battle for the Galaxy". And one weapon was made from something they used on a Jem'Hadar ship.
BTW, the Official Star Trek: Deep Space Nine Companion by Terry J. Erdmann (with Paula M. Block) is a wonderful book. You can buy it at a book store near you.
