The Hobbit delayed - Jackson has stomach ulcer

How I feel about the fact that there are rumours going around that Dori, Ori, and Nori may be changed to female characters.

That wasn't a fact. That was a joke. Caliburn24 was teasing when he said that those characters would be played by sexy actresses. According to IMDb, those characters will be played by Mark Hadlow, Adam Brown, and Jed Brophy respectively.

Good God. I feel like an idiot. But thanks for pointing it out.

I found it amusing to think of which actresses could play dwarf women!

But joking aside, there will apparently be at least one female role in the movie.

Don't count out casting for "The Hobbit" just yet. Although filming for the upcoming two-part Peter Jackson directed prequel is set to begin soon, that doesn't mean all of the casting is done. Actually, casting director Ros Hubbard spilled the beans that actress Saoirse Ronan is attached to the upcoming fantasy film. No word on what character she'll be playing at the moment.

Unfortunate to hear but not surprising. It was clear in those interviews he gave a few months ago during the union dispute that he was at his wits end. Hope he can rest up and hire some good assistant directors.

I know from personal experience what genuine and prolonged stress can do to a person's health. I once worked with a guy with more problems than I care to name and he ended up with a nasty skin condition and a stomach ulcer. Needing the money, he stubbornly tried to go on working and ignore the ulcer and...well let's just say it ended with him coughing up blood and me having a terrifying trip down the M1. Not fun.

What does "M1" refer to, if I may ask?
