The Hirogen

Watched "Message in a bottle" last night and I thought the following:

Shredder from Teenage mutant ninja turtles

Hirogen with mask

I know later on we don't see the Hirogen as that, but, did anyone else think that in that episode (apart from Andy Dick being a cool EMH and he and the Dr ruled) :bolian:

Andy Dick was... well, a dick. Why anyone finds that clown amusing, I will never understand. But yeah, I thought they looked like Shredder too...

When the evil Hirogen attack, the Voyager crew don't cut 'em no slack

Luckily, I didn't know anything about Andy Dick before I saw that episode; and it turned out he was just a good foil for the Doctor.

Being a fan of "News Radio" before Phil Hartman aka Phil McNeil was killed. The show only lasted one last miserable year. Phil Hartman was News Radio, when he was lost so was the show, but I digress. I liked the character that Andy Dick played, he WAS the classic total DORKUS.

So, seeing him as the Mk II EMH was pretty weird, however, in a strange way his part actually worked out. He was the Anti-EMH, the counterpart to our own reliable EMH that we had grown to so used to.

This could probably start a new thread: The most miscast character in Trek...

Resistance is Futile

Ah, now you mentioned Phil Hartman.

As you probably realise, Hartman was murdered by his wife Brynn. She was under the influence of cocaine at the time. She had previously beaten her drug abuse problems and was clean for over a decade. It is alledged, most notably by Jon Lovitz, that Dick had given her drugs which caused her relapse. It is also claimed that Dick had told Lovitz that he had put the "Hartman hex" on him and he would the next one to die. Lovitz then punched Dick while Dick was on stage at a comedy club.
