Yes, this show has always been crap. And yes it's always been fake. But I stopped on it for about 10 minutes earlier this evening and noticed that the show has actually changed, and become even more crappy. Although the drama on the show has always been faked, it was at least "well written" in that it was actually somewhat dramatic.

Watching this piece tonight, I realized that the show has become entirely uncomfortable to watch. I don't see how even those people who have enjoyed the show could like it anymore. The awkwardness has become unbearable. Maybe girls my age usually really are that superficial when dealing with each other, who knows. But just looking at the screen for a few seconds, you get the distinct impression that none of these people genuinely care for one another, and that it is torturous for them to try to get through the scenarios that have been prepared for them. It's really painful to watch, whereas in the past it was just boring.

With situations such as this, the show has got to be ending soon. When will it stop?

I like to watch a few minutes of this crap now and again when I'm flicking through the channels.

I like how when there's a couple going to a bar, and they're having a supposed intimate conversation. But from the camera angles its so bleeding obvious it's totally staged!
You'd have to be really thick to think it was for real

One of the awkward scenes I saw last night was two girls asking a third to move in with them. None of them seemed like they actually wanted to live together, and the third girl never even really said yes, just "okay, I guess, if that's what you guys want." I feel sorry for these girls on the show...it's kind of a crappy way to live your life, having it scripted for you. Imagine what they'll be like when the show is long over. They probably won't be able to have genuine interactions with people for years to come.

It will stop when MTV feels like the series ratings have dropped to the point where no one longer cares about what is going on anymore. I have to admit that I've been sucked into the show around the mid-way point, mainly though I dig the Aftershow, as a guy mostly because of Jessi! The situations are mostly forced together I think since it is scripted...although I do wonder to what extent its scripted.

That reminds me of that adventure show Man vs. Wild. Some guy trying to "survive in the wilderness." With a camera pointed at him the whole time! I wonder if the cameraman has to eat bugs and grubs, too? :rommie:

I think if you like watching a "so called reality show" that has the worst acting in it I've ever seen then I'm sorry to say you seriously need to get a life. The dialog sucked right from the first episode did you honestly expect it to get any better???

^Well, I never said I liked the show. And no I didn't expect it to get better, but I didn't expect it to get that much worse either, mainly because I thought the show was already as low as it could get. But, it got even more uncomfortable.
