The Heisenberg class fighter

This is my new Heisenberg class fighter which I made in Google Sketchup. Because it's still WIP I ask you which type of warp engine you like? These ones or rounder ones?

Not that it's a bad thing, but it looks very Star Wars Prequel...

That being said, I'd shorten the front, close in the gap, and get rid of the guns on the tip. And if it's post TNG, I'd keep in line with the more angular warp nacelles. Movies to TNG, more organic nacelles. TOS and pre-TOS, cylindrical.

I actually like the gap, but it has such a Star Wars look...

More like this? But I'm not willing to let go the energy cannons:).

I like that better, but you should make it the way you like it. It is slick looking. And simple. I like that.

well It all started like 3 months ago with this model which is the big brother and a less agressive looking version called the Wanderer class.

If it were me (and it's not) then I'd got with the first version, but fill in the gap to the rear of the current link and leave the gap at the front end. The gap is classy, and makes it look different. It also makes it look like Star Wars, but that's probably down to the colours you've used as much as anything else. Too big a gap just makes it look weak, so fill the rear section with stuff and leave the for'd gap.

The one thing you definitely should lose are the wingtip guns, PatrickIvan got that dead right. They look like something a 10-year old draws on their doodles, and spoil the look and lines of the wings. Have guns by all means, but make them look like part of the ship and not an afterthought. Embed them in the wings or wing-roots, or perhaps inset into the inside area of the forward gap?

Looking very interesting so far, fast and menacing. Even if it's not that Trek looking at the moment, it's very good looking.

The Heisenberg-Class
"So fast and so maneuverable that you can't determine it's speed or it's location at the same time" :p
