The Guardian of Forever

Kirk Prime

Fleet Captain
Fleet Captain
I suppose this could go in a TOS thread, but it could go here too.

We know the Guardian of Forever is a not so well constructed time machine.

But could the Guardian of Forever traverse universes too? Assuming that we treat the prime universe as a separate universe rather than the same universe with a timeline overwritten, could the Guardian go from one universe to another?

Could the Guardian get Kirk and crew to the mirror universe? I suppose it would simply be a matter of further exploring it as it is wide open.

It really is a shame that City on the Edge never got a sequel.

Probably would be used to unite Jim Kirk, with his pops, T̶h̶o̶r̶ George Kirk.

That's how I imagine the GOF being used in the Kelvinverse.

I'm sure the Guardian can take them wherever the plot needs them to go.

There were rumours waaaaay back in 2007 that Spock's time travel in the first Kelvin movie was via Guardian. Never happened.
It really is a shame that City on the Edge never got a sequel.
The animated episode "Yesteryear" and countless novels and comics followed up on the Guardian, as did the "semipro" fan film Of God's and Men
