the GREEN person

I gotta go with Harry Kim on this one, especially since he didn't seem to improve a whole lot.

I know no one is going to agree with me on this, but I thought Tasha Yar was awfully damn green at times.

I agree on both counts. I didn't care for Crosby's acting style, which, compared to Shatner's, made him look like a stone statue.

Rob

Most memorable was her speech to Wesley about drug addiction, and his WTF? reaction. ;)

Well, this guy, should surely be in the running for the most green person.
He's so green it's even in his name!

How about Ensign Nog when he and the Chief runs across Red Squad?

Man, if O'Brien had been on that ship, that whole thing would NOT have gone down. Yeah, I know he was enlisted, but I think he could've been forceful enough and had guts enough to do whatever was necessary to get those kids off of their suicidal plan.

But those Red Squad kids...they were so green--and so utterly spoiled into thinking they were the next Jim Kirks--that it was embarrassing.

Weren't Red Squad technically still Cadets, 3rd and 4th years. Wouldn't a senior NCO like O'Brien have more authority over the lot of them?

Yeah, they were cadets. And I would THINK a senior NCO would be able to give them orders. AND--if it's anything like the Army--carry a lot more personal clout than a very inexperienced officer like Nog.

What about Mr. Bailey, the navigator from "The Corbomite Maneuver"? That was the very point of his character. McCoy even points out to Kirk that Bailey may have been promoted too soon. He jumps to conclusion about the the actions to be taken at the briefing; He "freezes" when ordered to lock phasers upon the buoy; he "loses it" as Sulu continues the countdown... Can't get much "greener" than that.

Sincerely,

Bill

I think Wesley was definitely the most green of all the junior characters. Of course, he was just 15 or 16, so it's to be expected, but he's definitely greener than Kim, Chekov, Bashir, or even Mayweather. Comparing those four, as they were around the same age, Kim is the greenest of those folks. Unfortunately, they kept Kim too green toward the end of VOY's run. -- RR

Yeah, that IS a good one. Did anyone mention Cpt Harriman from Generations? i could never understand how he would be picked for captain of the Enterprise.
