(Hi, everybody! That is, everybody who has the faintest idea who I am after my long absence. I hope you've missed me because I've missed you! Two things kept me away: (1) I can't access this page from work any more, darn old employers who seem to think that Trek isn't part of my job; and (2) my home PC was until very recently so slow and annoying and horrible to work on, particularly when it came to pages that have, you know, graphics and stuff, that I didn't do so more than absolutely necessary. But the home PC is fixed now, and I should be able to start visiting here at least now and then once again and reconnect with you all. I'm thrilled to see that the "5-world" thread is still going strong! Oh, and Thor...I tried to PM you but your box is full, my friend.)

There you are! Time has ravaged your features... Seriously, I'm very glad to see you back - and yes, I've certainly missed you. I don't think you've been around since Christmas, and that's about a full half of my Trek BBS "career", which feels distinctly odd. In fact, I remember now the last interaction we had was when I sent a reply to the Jeltz photo you sent me. I hope you received it. Anyway, we've certainly felt your absence, even as we knew your disturbing tendency to engage in a real life outside of this place might well interfere with your posting.

Yes, this thread is still around- we're not quite as regular with it as we used to be, but I have faith it will never die.
