I've always had an affinity for television from different decades. I think what draws me to a lot of "classics," is just how well-written they are. Among some of my favorite comedies are The Bob Newhart Show, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Rhoda, Frasier, All in the Family, Maude, Seinfeld - and now I can add The Golden Girls to that list.
I recently sat down and watched a few episodes and I was struck not only by how good the writing was, but just how perfectly-delivered each line was.
A few of my favorite lines that made me laugh pretty hard.
Dorothy: [First ever lines] I taught a class today - the finest school in Dade County. Two girls had shaved heads and three boys had green hair.
Coco: They're expressing themselves.
Dorothy: Well I expressed myself - I told them they had to leave they were too ugly to look at. Now the parents are mad.

Rose: Where are you going?
Dorothy: To either get ice cream or commit a felony. I’ll decide in the car.

Blanche : Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go take a long, hot, steamy bath, with just enough water to barely cover my perky bosoms.
Sophia: You're only gonna sit in an inch of water?

Rose: Sophia, I'm a high school graduate!
Sophia: Congratulations. Now you can get any job involving a cardboard hat.
