I'm not entirely sure Carsley wants the job though?

I'm not sure Tuchel is a disaster but I expect him to do less well than Southgate

Just shows how amazing the football league can be in England. 2 seasons ago Luton were premier league and Wimbledon league 2 (4th tier for those that don't know). This season they play each other in the opening game in league 1.

Also great that Wimbledon are playing league 1 while MK dons are league 2.

I think Carsley knew the FA were pursuing someone else so when asked he downplayed wanting the job. Back to back U21 finals and 6 senior games coached, you got to think he wants the job post 20206. The FA only gave Tuchel a contract until the World Cup and I think that's because they want an Englishman for the home nations Euro 2028. They probably are hoping to get Howe but I doubt he would leave Newcastle next summer bar being sacked and that leaves Carsley.

Being at the City Ground for that Senegal game - it was so poor. Bizzare selections and bizzare tactics. All the games under Tuchel have been underwhelming.

I thought it was great when they were building Wembley doing England games around the country. England vs Mexico at Pride Park, great result.

I know it's all about money but I think they should bring it back.

Still, should have built the new national stadium in the midlands imo.
