Paul Pogba had 3 assists all last season. He had 4 against Leeds today. Bruno Fernandez had a hat trick. Man United whip Leeds 5 - 1.

 

Respectfully disagree. I get to watch all the European leagues and western hemisphere leagues if I want. I don't think the Premier League has to take a back seat to any of them for the quality of their game.

 

Mo Salah has a goal and an assist. He's set a record by scoring in 5 consecutive opening day matches. Jota and Firmino have the other goals. Liverpool over Norwich 3-0.

 

It's not really a qualitative thing. It just seems like some leagues develop slightly more flowing 'flair' football. You certainly see some imports struggle to adapt to the Prem.

 

I hope we'll see more of this.....

 

Gives me goosebumps to hear 50,000+ at Anfield singing You'll Never Walk Alone or chanting Mo Salah, Mo Salah, Mo Salah. Great to have the fans back.

Christiano Ronaldo has re-signed with Manchester United (not City). Guardiola has failed to sign two top strikers. He can't be happy.

 

With Ronaldo, Pogba, Cavani and Fernandes United is filled with superstars. We will see what Solskjaer can win with this team.

Meanwhile Champions League groups have been drawn. Time for revenge for United against Villarreal.

 

Time for a good old International break. Sadly ENG are away in Hungary and I fully expect a night of torrid racism like we faced in Bulgaria and Montenegro in the Euro qualifiers. I've booked my tickets for my first ENG game since Covid for October against Hungary - Lucky for me, there will be no Hungary fans allowed...

So just my own nation's racism for that one.

Not a Liverpool fan (though I don't hate them either) but it was great fun watching them smash United into the dirt.

 

I like Fernandes and Cavani, but Ronaldo is an arrogant dude, I dislike his general attitude.

Not to mention his butt-ugly statue....
