He actually opened an ice cream parlor right here in Dresden last year, and shortly before Christmas came for a very quick visit. Here's a picture:

The reason, in case you don't know, he spent part of his childhood in a small village called Lommatzsch nearby Dresden, which is why he also still speaks German so well. They also recently opened a museum in his name.
I've already tasted the original Hill ice cream and as in the video, I opted for pistachio. At first I thought they had gotten me the wrong kind, as it looked more like caramel, but then I was informed that real pistachio looks like this and the green is only added color. Which makes sense if you look how pistachios look inside.
I have to confess I haven't watched any of these movies lately. I have fond memories of them from my childhood as well but here's the thing - we used to have our own East German DEFA dubbing for these, as well as the French Lois deFunes movies, the British "Carry On" series with Sidney James and the very famous Italian movie with Ornella Muti and Adriano Celentano "Der gezähmte Widerspenstige".
And if you know them by heart, and wait for certain lines, now they never come, because now they air the other dubbing in TV.
Another fun story, from a Stargate convention years ago: Actor Peter Williams, who grew up in Jamaica, was asked about his favorite movies and he replied, oh I don't think you will know these here, they are rather obscure and then was surprised about the loud cheer he got when naming Bud Spencer and Terence Hill. He was so happy someone knew them! He had no idea they were that big over here.
